Applying credits to reserved capacitys

Is it possible to apply AWS credits that expire within a few months on DynamoDB reserved capacity that lasts 3 years? Also do the provisioned capacity units refer to unit-months or unit-hours. Thanks

AWS credits are only for normal usage. Credits can’t be used for any part of reserved capacity.

Provisioned capacity units are billed “per-hour".
