IMAP/POP Support from AWS SES

Just successfully set-up Simple Email Service and was assuming that there would IMAP/POP3 support for adding addresses to external mail clients. i've scoured the help resources and online and this seems to NOT be the case. is this the case?

AWS SES is for sending mail only. There is no "mailbox" to connect to in SES. You can use AWS WorkMail if you need a mailbox to receive mail and connect via a mail client. AWS WorkMail is a business mail and calendaring solution which can be used in combination with SES.
