Getting historical usage for CUR.20 data extract

We recently started using CUR 2.0, but we have no prior data history from legacy CUR versions. Our CUR 2.0 data extracts only begin from the date of activation.

We understand that the 'Cost and Usage Dashboard powered by QuickSight' provides historical data, but it lacks tagging information.

How can we obtain historical data with the same structure as CUR 2.0 ? Any other suggestions highly appreciated.

To get historical data in your CUR 2.0 report you can open a support case and request a backfill: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cur/latest/userguide/troubleshooting-cur.html#cur-backfill-data

    Thank you, Josh, for your quick response. I'll submit a support case. Could you please clarify if there are any associated charges for this support service, to get this done, as we needed this for multiple accounts?

    There is not an additional support charge for backfilling CUR. The amount of CUR files stored in S3 will increase as you backfill more months, so you will see the corresponding increase in S3 costs.
