How to unsubscribe to a re:Post topic.

0

I knew the re:Post topics were too broad, but tried subscribing to a couple to try it out. Within a day I'm seeing questions being emailed to me that are not anything I'm interested in.

How can I unsubscribe so that I can get rid of the useless noise in my Inbox?

BTW, I was a very frequent contributor to a few service level Forums before, subscribing to their service level RSS feeds from my Slack user, but now with these uselessly broad topics spamming my Inbox with irrelevant noise, all those service have now lost me as contributor.

It's such a shame.

  • You can follow tags instead of topics if you are interested in more specific content. For example you can follow the Amazon Redshift tag instead of the Analytics topic if you are only interested in Redshift related content.

We are pleased to announce Enhanced Notifications in re:Post. This new functionality provides the ability for users to choose the frequency of emails. They can get emails delivered immediately, daily, or weekly, and choose the day and time they want to receive their re:Post email digests.

Visit Notifications Settings https://repost.aws/dashboard/settings/notifications , to choose the frequency [Immediately, daily, or weekly] for each of your followed items, and you can also set the day/time when you want to received your email digests.

We are working on enhancing the email notifications that will provide more flexibility to users on how frequent email notifications will be sent. For the time being, if you are following a topic, you can perform these steps to stop receiving :

  1. Click on the down arrow located at the top right of the page where the avatar is and select settings
  2. Select the Notifications Settings tab
  3. Scroll down to the Topics section are and click "following" button to turn off notifications on the topics you want to stop receiving email notifications for.

Thank you for your feedback. It is valuable as we continue to make re:Post better.

Clicking on the Following button on anything you are currently following will unfollow it.
