What is the difference between Titan Text Embeddings V2 and Titan Embeddings G1 - Text? Which is the more superior model for RAG?

Where can I find some benchmark data?

I currently have my own RAG pipeline and do not intend to use 'Knowledge bases'

Accepted Answer

Based on the MTEB leaderboard here's what I'm seeing:

  1. Titan-text-embeddings-v2 is at position 63
  2. There is no mention of Titan Embeddings G1 - Text
  3. Cohere-embed-english-v3.0 is at position 19
