AWS Certificate issuing

0

I was trying to issue a certificate arn:aws:acm:us-east-1:***:certificate/f763ffb5-f342-4502-9a36-cf6445096da5. The error message indicated that ACM requires additional information to process this certificate request. Can you please help me on this topic? Thanks for the update on your question.

I have researched the error and found the following article that describes the cause and solution. [1] [2]

[1] AWS Cert Manager: Additional Verification Required | AWS re:Post

----- Excerpt -----
You can simply raise a support case and provide the ARN of the affected certificate.

[2] True Cause behind Additional Verification in ACM - The First Cry of Atom
https://www.lewuathe.com/true-cause-behind-additional-verification-in-acm.html
----- Excerpt -----
Usually, this error appears when an ACM certificate request contains a domain listed under the Alexa Top 1000 domains. This process is in place to prevent abuse.

The only way to resolve the issue is to file a support ticket to ask AWS to put our domain in the whitelist. That seems to work as the additional verification in this case. AWS support team will promptly respond to your problem, and your certificate will be issued once the ticket is closed.

From the above, it appears that you will need to raise a technical support case to resolve this issue.

You can temporarily subscribe to a Developer plan with a support plan, and then cancel the plan once the support case has been issued and your problem has been resolved.

For more information on support plans, please visit the following AWS official website. [3]

  • Thanks for the answer, but

    1. There is no way that website with 2k mounty users is in the Alexa Top 1000
    2. The Developer support plan has one month of engagement which I don't want to take. The article states that I can open a thread here to have my problem resolved (what I did)
  • I see your point.
Indeed, I too read the documentation and thought it was something that could be solved with re:Post.

However, when I look into similar questions, I find that in some cases, AWS support engineers guide me to contact AWS support. [1]

If your environment is a production environment and you always need to issue ACM certificates, we recommend that you contact AWS Support.

It is difficult for me to provide further assistance, but I hope the above is helpful.
