Hello,
I’m using Amazon WorkMail with two domains:
domain.awsapps.com — this domain was automatically added by WorkMail during setup (I did not choose or manually add it).
domain.org — my own custom domain, DNS managed via Namecheap.
Both domains are verified in WorkMail, and all outgoing emails are sent from my custom domain (domain.org) without any issues.
My WordPress website is hosted on Amazon Lightsail, and email sending is integrated with SES/WorkMail.
However, in SES Virtual Deliverability Manager, I see multiple high-impact warnings for the awsapps.com domain, such as:
SPF record not found
DMARC configuration not found
MAIL FROM record not aligned
BIMI record not found
Since I have no control over the DNS for awsapps.com (it’s owned and managed by AWS), I cannot create or edit SPF, DMARC, or BIMI records for it.
My questions are:
Should I simply ignore these SES warnings for the Amazon-managed awsapps.com domain?
Will these warnings have any impact on deliverability for emails sent from my verified custom domain?
Is there any AWS-recommended way to hide or remove these warnings for Amazon-managed domains?
I have attached screenshots showing:
The warnings in SES Virtual Deliverability Manager
My verified domains in WorkMail (including the automatically added awsapps.com domain)
Thank you for clarifying how to handle these warnings
