To add CNAME records for your website as part of setting up an email marketing campaign, you'll need to follow these general steps:

  1. Access your DNS provider's management console. This is typically the company where you registered your domain name.

  2. Look for an option to manage DNS records or edit DNS settings.

  3. Find the section to add a new DNS record, and select CNAME as the record type.

  4. Enter the required information:

    • For the "Name" or "Host" field, enter the subdomain provided by your email marketing service.
    • For the "Value" or "Points to" field, enter the Amazon domain provided.
  5. Save the new CNAME record.

The exact process may vary depending on your DNS provider. Many common providers like GoDaddy, Dreamhost, Cloudflare, HostGator, and Namecheap have specific instructions for adding CNAME records.

If you're using Amazon Route 53 as your DNS provider, you can add CNAME records through the AWS Management Console.

Remember that DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to propagate fully, although they often take effect much sooner.

If you encounter any issues or your DNS provider doesn't allow underscores in record names (which are sometimes required for certain types of records), you may need to contact your provider's customer support for assistance.

Always double-check the information provided by your email marketing service to ensure you're entering the correct values for your CNAME records.
