Wrong phone number when creating new account

-1

I am trying to create a new AWS account (I closed my previous one), so when I fill out all the date I am receiving the following error: "The phone number provided is not valid or incorrectly formatted. We do not accept toll-free numbers. Please use a different phone number."

But my phone is valid (The same one I had with the previous account), even if I try a different one I am receiving the same error. I am from Colombia and the valid phone format is like this: +57 3012345678.

You should submit a support ticket to support team; some country can't directly verify by phone. https://support.console.aws.amazon.com/support/home

  • Thanks for your answer. I contacted AWS Support, this is the reply I got:

"AWS account security policies don't permit us to discuss account-specific information unless you're signed into the account you're asking about.".

SO that's a NO for me, since I haven't finished the account creation process.

Regarding the phone number, there are no spaces. The +57 is just the are code for Colombia and my phone number is like that: 3012345678. I even tried using another phone number and I got the same error.

One final question: I had a previous account with an email like this: myemail@domain.com, I closed that account and I am trying to create the new one using the same email address but adding a suffix like this: myemail+aws@domain.com. Can this be the problem?
