Hi Sahul!

No, you cannot directly upgrade or downgrade a Compute Savings Plan after purchasing it. Compute Savings Plans are commitments to a specific amount of usage (measured in dollars per hour) over a 1- or 3-year term. While you can use any instance size or type within the savings plan, you cannot change the committed amount after purchase.

To cover increased usage:

  • To adjust, you could purchase an additional Compute Savings Plan to cover increased usage.

Hope this helps.

  • so i need to purchase a new plan only for the the difference amount ? or need to buy for t3.medium itself

  • Yes, to adjust your usage, you can purchase additional Compute Savings Plans to cover the difference in cost or use Reserved Instances. AWS can provide estimates of potential savings.
