I confirmed the same content in the post below, but is RDS running in a public subnet?

Please use the following command to check communication from your local environment to RDS.
curl -v telnet://test-database-1-instance-1.xxxxxxxxxxxx.ap-northeast-1.rds.amazonaws.com:3306

I think that it is running in a public subnet. When I run that curl call I just added my endpoint after telnet:// and it returned the response curl -v telnet://database-1........rds.amazonaws.com
