Pearson VUE AWS Exam Issue with Instructions

0

The instructions state to take pictures of yourself, room in all 4 directions and the ID using the Phone and to put the Phone away at a distance and away from the desk. The instruction further say that the Proctor can contact us incase they need to via the phone. The phone rang during the exam and I looked in that direction and realized it was from a know contact and looked back at my screen to continue with the exam.

The proctor asked me why I look away from the screen via the chat and I explained the phone rang and I looked at the caller-id. The proctor said its a technical violation and ended the exam. Its quite apparent their instructions are NOT accurate ... if they did not want us to have a phone in the room they could have asked us to put the instrument in a separate room but instead they asked to keep in the same room and then they penalize you when it rings and you look in that direction and not even hold the phone in the hand. Customer service rep tells me the head should not move for the duration of the exam not sure whose head needs examined on that point!!

Very disappointed with Pearson VUE and its customer support. Bottom line Amazon should look into these vendors in more detail as we are investing our time and such arbitrary decisions do not add any credibility.
