Have you tried the EC2 Serial Console to diagnose?
Released in Mar-2021, for Windows & Linux Nitro instances. It's a way to troubleshoot boot and network connectivity issues by establishing a connection to the serial port of an instance. It provides a one-click, text-based access to an instances’ serial port as though a monitor and keyboard were attached to it. The serial console does not require your instance to have any networking capabilities. The serial console session lasts during instance reboot and stop. Accessed from EC2 console or from CLI.
