Why is Polly TTS generating multiple audio files per post within WordPress Media tab

I am using Polly on my blog for all posts. For each post there are up to 10 separate audio files generated within the media tab. Why is there more than one audio file per blog post? And how do I correct this?

Have you configured creating audio for content in multiple languages? Can you confirm what is in that audio files? All same or different languages?
