Amazon Connect Outbound Calls - "Invalid number" error despite correct configuration

Hi,

We are unable to make outbound calls from Amazon Connect CCP. All calls fail with "Invalid number" error.

Instance ARN: arn:aws:connect:eu-central-1:856058887981:instance/44e26691-c998-406d-b720-5b43f653ea37

All configurations verified correct:

  • Telephony outbound: enabled
  • Queue outbound caller ID: configured with a US number
  • Security profile CCP:Outbound: enabled
  • Agent status: Available
  • Number format: E.164

AWS Support confirmed allowlisting for +1 and +90 but closed both cases (177435704000074 and 177340896500153) without fixing the issue.

Is there a backend telephony block that needs to be cleared?

Outbound calls in Amazon Connect may fail with an “Invalid number” error even when the configuration appears correct. Outbound calling is subject to several restrictions, including compliance with international dialing rules, limitations on the use of toll‑free numbers, and strict adherence to the E.164 number format:
