EC2 Sound Device

0

I spun up a t2.xlarge with Windows Server 2022 to use as a RDP workstation. The software I'm using creates audible alerts, but when I open the Sound control panel the output device says "No output devices found"

Is it possible to get a sound device on EC2 so I can get audible alerts from my software over RDP?

Thanks, Matt

Go to Control Panel, Services, and start Windows Audio service. You may want to change startup type to Automatic.

Log off and log in again.

Alternatively, you can install NICE DCV server on Windows server as it supports up to 7.1 audio channels with native clients Refer to Installing the NICE DCV Server on Windows for installation steps.
