WORK MAIL NOT RECEIVING EXTERNAL EMAILS MESSAGES

0

Hello, My AWS work mail is not receiving messages. I created this workmail, and when sent out messages to external emails, it was successful but when I sent a message from an external email to my work mail, it never came through. My DNS shows my MX record is present and other records are present too.

Please can you advise on how to resolve this issue ?

Kind regards

Divine

Hey Divine!

This issue can occur, due to:

  • Bounce mail list
  • blocked mail domain from aws
  • look for your domain authenticity or site certificate
  • check mail quota
  • check for mail bounce back to your server
  • if, you are using mail client, make sure its correctly configured

Hope this helps,

  • Hello Sandeep, thank you for your response . In route 53 DNS, all the records are present including the MX, and CNAME but in workmail console, it says MX is missing and no MX record is not found . It says the same thing for all CNAMEs. And all CNAMEs have failed verification. I am not sure how to fix this as all the records are okay and present in my DNS but most of them still indicating either Missing or Failed in Amazon Workmail console. I have spent countless hours and days but not yet able to resolve this. I wish appreciate your help. I will I could share pictures of the error

How can I share a screenshot of the error here ? Kind regards Divine

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear your experiencing problems receiving mail. The most common case for this case is a missing MX record. Can you check in the WorkMail console if you MX record can be resolved by AWS? If not you need to correct that.

If the MX record is resolved by AWS, you can check that in the SES console there is a Receiving mail rule that directs mail to your WorkMail organization. Also if any other rules are present, these should work as failure in these rules might cause WorkMail to not receive the mail.
