Auto_Email_To_Customer

We are using a SAAS (software as a service) application called Odyssey. So when we process any sort of sales order we have to auto email customer with the copy of that sales order or order acknowledgement. To auto email we need to do email configuration in Odyssey. The information its asking me is: Host server name, host server port, service type ( smtp, enhanced smtp, or IMAP), account user id, and password. I tested with various use cases but seems like none of them is working. Do I need to setup Amazon SES? or I can auto email using workmail and where would I find all the technical information that is mention above?

Hi,

WorkMail is a managed business email and calendar service which is not meant to be used for automated or bulk mailing. I would recommend that you use SES as SMTP server for the sending part. If you need to retrieve mail as well you can use IMAP in WorkMail. Documentation on how to configure IMAP can be found here.
