database changed from MySQL to MariaDB for no reason.

Hi people this is urgent please, I have a Lightail instance and it has a snapshot, the instance is connected with MySQL. I wanted a backup up so I created another instance, the new instance came with an issue error Error establishing a database connection.

after investigation and checking in the SSH, it returns to me that the instance database is MariaDB. how is that possible when the original one is MySQL? and I still don't know how to connect to this database ?! if this is the case now how to fix the error and access the instance? urgent help, please.

Hello.

By the original database, do you mean the database installed within Lightsail?
If you are creating a Lightsail instance from a snapshot, I don't think the installed database will change.
Therefore, MariaDB may be installed on the Lightsail instance that was the source of the snapshot.

If you want to change the connection destination to RDS, you need to edit "wp-config.php" according to the steps in the document below.
