Questions on 25Gbps - Increased Network Bandwidth for EC2 Instances

0

Can anyone confirm the following questions related to this recent announcement: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/the-floodgates-are-open-increased-network-bandwidth-for-ec2-instances/

  1. Do customers still get up to 25Gbps if they access S3 over VPC endpoints?
  2. Do customers still get up to 25Gbps to they go EC2 > Internet or is it only for available EC2 > S3 ?

Thanks!

  1. Yes for instances using ENA
  2. No, for EC2 to Internet traffic is limited to 5Gbps.

Here is some useful documentation that covers this: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/placement-groups.html
