Unable to change domain contact "Update domain contact failed"

Hi, for some reason I am unable to change my domain contact details in route 53. In the dashboard notifications panel, I can see an error with the text "Update domain contact failed", but there is no further information as to what is going wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas what might cause this error?

I managed to fix this in the end by removing privacy protection (which failed a couple of times, so I had to it do it more than once for it to work). I was then able to change the contacts.
