Manged UI - wrong page title on MFA Sign-in

0

Hey there AWS, not sure where can raise bugs for a particular AWS team - Cognito, so writing here with the hope to be moved to the right place potentially. It is something small but - our boss is a perfectionist :) so here is the bug we observed with the Managed UI.

When you go through login with the Authenticator app, after entering credentials on the page where prompted to enter your code, the title says Setup MFA, when in reality it is sign-in.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You're correct in noticing an inconsistency in the Managed UI for Cognito, specifically on the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) page during sign-in.

The issue you've described, where the page title says "Setup MFA" when you're actually in the process of signing in, is indeed a mislabeling. This could potentially cause confusion for users, as they are not setting up MFA at this point but rather using it to authenticate.

While I don't have specific information about an immediate fix for this issue, it's valuable feedback that should be addressed to improve the user experience and accuracy of the Managed UI.

For reporting such issues or providing feedback directly to the AWS Cognito team, the best approaches are:

  1. If you have an AWS Support plan, you can open a support case specifically for the Cognito service.

  2. You can use the AWS Feedback page to submit your observations and suggestions.

  3. Posting on AWS re:Post (as you've done) can also be effective, as AWS team members do monitor these forums.

  4. For more critical issues, you might consider reaching out to your AWS account representative if you have one.

Thank you for your attention to detail and for taking the time to report this issue. Such feedback is crucial for improving AWS services and user experiences.
