AWS Code deploy using image from docker hub

I would look into a combination of below references:

• https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/devops/how-to-use-docker-images-from-a-private-registry-in-aws-codebuild-for-your-build-environment/. Shows how to create a Code Build step from a private repo in DockerHub
• https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codebuild/latest/userguide/sample-docker.html#sample-docker-docker-hub. This shows a detailed case of build.yaml configuration to adapt it to Dicker hub
• Once you have the CodeBuild step in a CodePipeline, you can add a Code Deploy step. You can try to deploy to ECS and provide the image name in this step: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codepipeline/latest/userguide/tutorials-ecs-ecr-codedeploy.html#tutorials-ecs-ecr-codedeploy-taskdefinition
