IAM Authentication is not available for RDS Instances engines

Question

Hi Everyone, hope you all are doing great 😁 !!

I became aware that not all RDS instances engines and or versions support IAM authentication. After some search I did not find any reference related to this, neither in AWS nor any IaC tool. I did some trial and error in AWS website and came to this conclusion:

Amazon Aurora : All Versions support

MySQL : Versions >= 8

MariaDB : Version >= 10.6

PostGre : Version != 13.7-R1

Oracle : Not Available

MS SQL : Not Available

Can someone confirm what I found or indicate some official source related to it?

There is some nuance; i.e. db.t2.small Aurora instances do not support IAM authentication.
