The serverless workgroup endpoint naming convention is different from provisioned cluster
workgroup-name.account-number.aws-region.redshift-serverless.amazonaws.com:port/dev
It is a best practice to use some form of DNS to provide a friendly URL to all downstream applications. You can also configure Amazon Route 53 as your DNS service.
This DNS entry should be used by all downstream applications. This DNS entry can be re-pointed towards the serverless workgroup to minimize impact on downstream applications connections.
