AWS Glue Snowflake Connector Secret requires PASSWORD?

0

I am trying to create a Snowflake connection in AWS Glue. Prior to the release of the updated version of the connector I was able to specify sfUser, sfWarehouse and pem_private_key in the Secrets Manager and was able to connect successfully. Following the release of the new version I keep getting the error saying that PASSWORD is missing from the Secrets Manager. The documentation still states that I should be able to use key-pair authentication but I cannot figure out the proper Secrets Manager layout to accomplish that. Please adivse.

The requirement to include a PASSWORD field in the AWS Secrets Manager secret for Snowflake connections in AWS Glue is associated with the introduction of unified connections (connection v2). These connections standardize all connections to use USERNAME and PASSWORD keys for basic authentication. While you can still create a v1 connection via API with secrets containing sfUser and sfPassword, the unified connections enforce the use of USERNAME and PASSWORD keys.
