AWS Textract security - sharing data

0

Hello,

I'm exploring security of AWS. My project use AWS Textract to scan invoices and extracts relevant data. When I open FAQ of Textract, I can find there "Q. Are document and image inputs processed by Amazon Textract stored, and how are they used by AWS?"

When I read the answer, I'm not sure if I understand, because it looks like Amazon use my invoices and data to improve their existing invoice model. For me, it's unacceptable to use any of my data even for improving their model.

The next thing they wrote there is: We do not use any personally identifiable information that may be contained in your content to target products, services or marketing to you or your end users. What does it mean?

https://aws.amazon.com/textract/faqs/

Thanks

The same document mentions the following - "You may opt out of having your document and image inputs used to improve or develop the quality of Amazon Textract and other Amazon machine-learning/artificial-intelligence technologies using an AWS Organizations opt-out policy. For information about how to opt out, see Managing AI services opt-out policy."
