Hi,
In documentation there is no explicit additional cost when using compression in Firehose. It is more how compression influences ingestion price, as the more data is compressed => the less amount of data needs to be ingested/stored => the less you pay.

There are four main components to Kinesis Data Firehose pricing:
- Ingestion (per-GB / tiered)
- Format Conversion (per-GB)
- VPC Delivery (per-GB)
- Dynamic Partitioning (per-GB)
Specifying compression in your KDF configuration will not affect Kinesis pricing, but could lower storage pricing depending on where the data is being pushed.
