Lex Barge-in Sensitivity and Prompt Timing

0

Hello!

I am currently running a Lex Bot in production in a Connect Flow. When barge-in is enabled, it is extremely sensitive for the Lex bot and will repeat the prompts multiple times at the slightest sound interference. Secondly, after the first user utterance there is an extremely long silence before the Lex bot gets to the second prompt. That means that the user is waiting and wondering if their answer was received. What can I do to improve these two issues? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out. For Barge-In, we currently do not expose sensitivity controls and the only control is to enable/disable it at Bot/Intent/Slot level. I will DM you to get more details on the test environment. Regarding tweaking how long Lex waits after the user is done speaking, please check End Silence Threshold documented here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/adminguide/get-customer-input.html
