I understand you're having trouble accessing your active AWS account that hosts your site. This is a confusing situation since you're receiving billing updates for the active account but logging in to an empty one instead. Here's how you can address this issue:
-
First, verify you're using the correct login URL: https://signin.aws.amazon.com/signin
-
Try using the "Legacy Sign-In" option if available. This can be found in the top corner of the sign-in page and may allow you to login with just your email/password without requiring an account ID.
-
Check if you're using the correct account ID or alias. Each AWS account has a unique 12-digit account ID. Your billing emails from the active account should contain this account ID.
-
If you know the account ID of your active account, use that specifically when logging in. The account ID should appear on your AWS invoices or billing emails.
-
Clear your browser's cookies and cache, or try using a different browser or an incognito/private browsing window.
-
If you're still unable to access the correct account, contact AWS Support directly. They can help verify your identity and assist with accessing the correct account, especially since you have evidence (billing emails) that you own the active account.
It's unusual to have two accounts with the same email address, so there might be some confusion about the account structure. AWS Support should be able to help clarify this situation and ensure you can access the account that hosts your site.

Hello.
The root user for an AWS account cannot be created with the same email address, so I suspect a different email address is probably being used.
