Hello, If you weren't leveraging EBS snapshots via Data Lifecycle Manager or AWS Backup to make backups of the EC2 instance, there's unfortunately no way to restore the prior state of an EC2 instance.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/snapshot-lifecycle.html https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/amazon-ec2-backup-and-restore-using-aws-backup/
I'd highly recommend implementing one of those two options so you can restore to a previous state in the future.
Please raise a support ticket for this issue. In this forum we don't have access to your account information, identity or any AWS resources that you're running but the support team does and can help you determine what has happened. Did you take backup or had snapshots/Read-Replicas etc in any other region to take the backup from ?
