Migrating Linode to AWS

Is there any prescriptive guidance available from AWS to migrate servers from Linode over to AWS?Does the Application Migration Service support migrating servers from Linode to AWS? Is there a step-by-step guide on how to go about executing this? I have a partner attempting this for a customer, and they've hit a wall because the "moved" servers aren't able to boot. I would appreciate any help from the community.
