UniFi Controller In AWS

0

I have created an EC2 instance to run a UniFi cloud controller but cannot get any traffic into my Server. I have opened all of the required ports through the security group and cannot telnet to the server on any of the ports to test. I know the security group is functioning correctly as I removed 3389 and immediately lost RDP and after re enabling it I had RDP back and can telnet to the elastic IP on 3389. I have re checked all of the ports and rules but am unable to telnet in on any port that I opened other than 3389.

Hello.
Check the OS firewall if allowed by the security group.
Does the Windows firewall allow the required communications?
Also, is the port number you are checking on Telnet listening on EC2?

  • Sometimes it's the thing right under your nose you forget to check. Thanks Riku 🙏🏼
