MediaConvert : passthrough for Font styles and positionning for WebVTT

Question

I tried converting a input Quicktime file with a sidecar caption file in format WebVTT or IMSC (xml).

the outputed Apple HLS contains the sub playlist WebVTT but the styles (color, outline, etc.)  
and position information are removed from the output VTT.

How could we keep the styling and positionning in the output VTT ?

Thanks for your question. AWS MediaConvert has the ability to pass through Captions Style information, for certain output formats, such as TTML, WebVTT and IMSC.

When configuring the Captions for a specific output, once selecting the type of Captions, you can select Enable for Pass Style Information.
