If you've updated the alternate contact address on the Accounts page but the Invoice receiver email is still empty on the Invoice unit, there are a few things to consider:
-
First, ensure that you've correctly updated the alternate contact address on the Accounts page. This should typically update the invoice receiver email.
-
It's important to note that changes to invoice configuration may not be reflected immediately. AWS uses the latest configuration at the end of the month, so the update might not be visible right away.
-
If you've specified a billing contact on the Payment preferences page, be aware that this can affect invoice delivery. When a billing contact is specified there, the root user won't receive the PDF invoice or additional invoice by email.
-
You cannot directly change the invoice receiver for an existing invoice unit. The invoice receiver and invoice unit name are fixed once created.
-
If the issue persists, it's recommended to open a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing" to inquire about the problem. This type of inquiry can be made free of charge and will allow AWS to investigate your specific account situation.
-
As a precaution, check your spam folder to ensure that invoices aren't being filtered there.
If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, contacting AWS Support directly would be the best course of action to resolve the problem with your specific account.
