Details about Lightsail Certificate verification & duration

After creating a container deployment in Lightsail I added a domain and then requested a certificate in order to attach a custom domain to said deployment.

With close to an hour since the certificate is still in state PENDING_VALIDATION, with the only message being Auto validation record successfully added (the records I can see in the DNS console).

Is there any way to get more information about the state of the certificate validation and/or steps I can take to speed this up?

Whoever might read this: verify, twice if needed, that the DNS servers AWS provides for the custom domain match what you've configured.
