New Server Super slow no programs installed yet

New Server RDP session is super slow. No programs installed yet. Just brought it up today. I can click on the screen and its several seconds to a minute before it responds. No programs installed yet. Free tier: In your first year includes 750 hours of t2.micro (or t3.micro in the Regions in which t2.micro is unavailable) instance usage on free tier AMIs per month, 30 GiB of EBS storage, 2 million IOs, 1 GB of snapshots, and 100 GB of bandwidth to the internet. This is to test out before migrating server to the cloud. Speed of my internet is 93mbps down \ 87mbps up Speed of server shows on Amazon side shows 283Mbps down \ 208mbps up Why is it so slow to respond???

Hello.

The t2.micro available in the free tier only has 0.5GB of memory, which is a little insufficient for GUI operations using RDP.

Additionally, Windows Server spec requirements also recommend 2GB or more of memory when using Desktop Experience.
Therefore, when using the GUI with RDP, we recommend specs of t2.small (in my experience, t2.medium is more comfortable) or higher.
