EU data concern

0

Hi (AWS), We have a potential client that is concerned with data leaving the EU. We only host our services within EU regions and do not use any AWS services that should transfer data to other regions, so it should all be located in the EU. Does AWS have any material we can reference to help convince our potential client that data will not be shared with anyone outside EU e.g. governments etc.?

AWS EU Data Protection: AWS has specific documentation on how it complies with EU data protection laws, including GDPR. You can reference the AWS GDPR center, which provides detailed information on how AWS supports compliance with GDPR. https://aws.amazon.com/compliance/gdpr-center/

AWS Artifact: This is a self-service portal for on-demand access to AWS’s compliance documentation. AWS Artifact provides a range of compliance reports that you can use to demonstrate to your client how AWS services comply with legal and regulatory requirements. https://aws.amazon.com/artifact

AWS Data Processing Agreement (DPA): AWS offers a DPA that incorporates Standard Contractual Clauses deemed appropriate by the European Commission for transferring data outside the EU in a way that complies with EU data protection laws. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/whitepapers/latest/navigating-gdpr-compliance/aws-data-processing-addendum-dpa.html
