AWS Skill Builder sign in problem (Partner sign in)

0

Hello, I'm an employee of a new AWS Partner. I try to login to AWS Skill Builder using "AWS Partner Network sign in" method. The 9 out of 10 attempts returns the error "Looks like the site is temporarily unavailable. Please try again in a bit." One time it allowed me to go to the next step and I was requested to enter my email and password from AWS Partner Central site. However, I do not use email to sign in there, but use my login name. I tried the combinations of my AWS Partner login and password , tried my associated email and it's passowrd, but nothing worked. Please advise what I could do wrong and how can I resolve this sign in issue. Thank you in advance! Regards, Boris

I understand you're having trouble signing into AWS Skill Builder using the AWS Partner Network sign-in method. This is a common issue that can occur for several reasons.

For the "site temporarily unavailable" error that happens 9 out of 10 times, this could be related to:

  1. Browser cache/cookie issues - Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
  2. Try using your browser's incognito or private mode
  3. Attempt to access from a different browser or network
  4. Verify your device's date and time settings are correct (this can sometimes cause authentication issues)

Regarding the credentials issue when you do get past the first screen:

AWS Skill Builder typically uses AWS Builder ID for authentication, which is separate from your AWS Partner Central credentials. There might be confusion between the different authentication systems. When prompted for email and password, you should use the credentials associated with your AWS Builder ID, not your Partner Central login name.

If you continue to experience issues, I recommend:

  1. Contacting AWS Training support directly through their support form
  2. Checking with your organization's AWS account administrator to ensure your Partner Network access has been properly set up
  3. Verifying that your device's time is synchronized correctly (even small time differences can sometimes cause authentication failures)

Since you're with a new AWS Partner, there might also be account setup steps that need to be completed before you can access all Partner resources.
