Classic ELB - IP Changes

0

Quite sure this has been answered in previous forums, Do ELB IP (classic/alb not NLB) change over time?

If it does change, does it change for all AZs that I have enabled load balancer to?

Yes, the IP address on ELB or ALB can change over time. Yes, it can change in all AZs.

  • Thanks Brettski! If I have enabled the LB across 3 AZs, does the IP change at the same time across the 3 AZs?

Got some limitation I am working around DNS refresh that a device is configured to refresh its DNS mins every 30 mins (at best).

  • It may do. it may not. If a load balancer node is functioning correctly then it will not go out of service until the connections are drained from it.
