Account verification for CloudFront resources?

0

I would like to host a static web page from my S3 bucket but want to cover it with TLS. Various posts have pointed me towards using AWS CloudFront which looks like a good solution but i'm getting the following error whenever I try to create a new (my first) distribution:

Your account must be verified before you can add new CloudFront resources. To verify your account, please contact AWS Support (https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/home#/) and include this error message.

I already pay month for my usage (its not very much!) so I assume I am already verified from a payment perspective on the AWS platform? Alternatively Google suggests I lodge a request for a Service Limit Increase Case - do I need to do this? I have never had a CloudFront distribution before so it seems odd that I would need to increase my Web Distributions per Account?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello.

I have also experienced similar errors in the past.
In my case, I opened a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing" and had them remove the restriction.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awssupport/latest/user/case-management.html

When I contacted AWS Support to find out why the restrictions were being put in place, I received a response that said, "AWS may place restrictions on functions, upper limits, etc. based on your account's usage history."
