How to Earn Specific Community Badges
Hello Community,
I've noticed several members sporting unique badges, sparking my curiosity about how one might acquire them. The badges in question include:
- Expert Approved
- Promotion Answer
- Promotion Winner
- Research Participant (in both blue and turquoise)
- AWS Community Builder
- Contest Winner
Could anyone provide insights on the criteria or process to earn these badges?

I think you can get "Promotion Answers", "Promotion Winners", and "Contest Winners" by participating in events held occasionally at re:Post.

The "AWS Community Builder" badge requires participation in AWS Community Builder.

The "Research Participant" badge is unknown, but we expect it to require participation in some kind of event.

Badges on re:Post are earned in different ways, depending on the activity. For example, Expert Approved comes from answers validated by AWS experts, Promotion and Contest badges are tied to special events, and Research Participant comes from joining AWS surveys or feedback programs. The Community Builder badge is linked to the AWS Community Builders program, which you apply for separately.
In general, the more you participate, answer questions, and get involved in AWS programs, the more badges you can earn.
