Hi all, if I allow certain IAM users access to certain data using Lake Formation, does this permissions also get reflected when the IAM users create dashboards using Amazon QuickSight and can only connect datasets to Amazon QuickSight that they have access to?

Yes, QuickSight integrates with Lake Formation to enforce these permissions. When an IAM user tries to connect to a dataset in QuickSight, the service checks if the user has the necessary permissions based on their Lake Formation role.
