I hope that I am not misunderstanding the response, because people with a low paid level of support may be unable to use the system. Example you cannot use resources. and not know who to contact concerning the cost of using a pay-as-you-go system. There should be a difference between a technical manager and a manager who can provide use and cost of AWS cloud platform,

  • You've understood the response correctly, only customers that pony up more than US$5.5k every month get access to an account manager https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/pricing/

On the Developer and Business support plans, for which you have to spend money, but in the tens or hundreds of dollars and not thousands, you are able to log technical support calls with AWS.

This doesn't mean that everybody else is left high and dry. The Basic support plan (which is free) gives access to these re:Post forums to ask questions, as well as its Knowledge Centre and Community Articles. There's also AWS Whitepapers, AWS Docs, and you can start working with many of the popular AWS services for free in AWS Free Tier

Outside of that, a web search will return many sources of information, from blogs to YouTube videos to courses.

This is dependent on the level of support that you (or your organisation) has paid for https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/plans/

Customers with Enterprise level support will have a Designated Technical Account Manager, and this person will have made themselves known to personnel within your organisation.

Customers with Enterprise On-Ramp support have access to pool of Technical Account Managers, but not an ongoing dedicated individual point-of-contact.

Levels of support other than these do not include an Account Manager.
