Where to find S3 Table Bucket policy?

  1. How do I find the underlying S3 bucket for an S3 table bucket?
  2. How do I find the attached policy for the underlying S3 bucket (does such thing even exist)? [1]

[1] aws s3tables get-table-bucket-policy --table-bucket-arn $S3_TABLE_ARN An error occurred (NotFoundException) when calling the GetTableBucketPolicy operation: The specified bucket policy does not exist.

The S3 table bucket policy is documented here - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/s3-tables-bucket-policy.html. Your command looks right aws s3tables get-table-bucket-policy --table-bucket-arn arn:aws:s3tables:us-east-1:111122223333:bucket/amzn-s3-demo-bucket1 so, I think maybe $S3_TABLE_ARN is not returning correct arn, or you are using incorrect region or AWS account while running the command.

    I double checked, S3_TABLE_ARN is set correctly to to the ARN I got from the console. I also checked the region (actually never set any other region than us-east-1.

    Well, in that case, have you actually added a bucket policy? If not, it will return "NotFoundException".
