For Business Support accounts, AWS aims to provide an initial response to support cases within 24 hours or less. However, this doesn't necessarily mean your quota increase will be approved and implemented within that timeframe.
When you submit a quota increase request, the process involves several steps:
- Initial review - AWS evaluates your request and may approve, deny, or partially approve it
- If approved, implementation - Even after approval, it typically takes a couple of days for the increase to take effect as changes need to be batched and propagated through AWS systems
Since you submitted your follow-up information on Saturday and upgraded to Business Support at the same time, it's reasonable that you're still waiting for a response on Monday. While Business Support provides faster response times, quota increase requests don't receive priority support treatment.
A few things to note:
- There is no proactive notification when quota increases are fully implemented
- You can check the status of your request through the AWS Support Center
- If your case is urgent, you might want to add a comment to your existing support case emphasizing the business impact and time-sensitive nature of your request
If you haven't received any response by the end of the 24-hour window since your Business Support upgrade, it would be appropriate to follow up on your request through the AWS Support Center.
