Hello.
Have you enabled Bedrock model access for your region using the steps in the document below?
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/bedrock/latest/userguide/model-access-modify.html
If you are unable to use the service even after applying for activation, it may not be possible to resolve the issue from your side, so please contact AWS Support at the following URL.

I apologize, but there seems to be a misunderstanding in your statement. It's not accurate that all Bedrock models are unavailable in all USA regions. Amazon Bedrock is available in several US regions, including US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon).
The issue you're experiencing is likely related to account access and model-specific permissions rather than regional availability. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
-
Verify your account has been approved for Amazon Bedrock usage. Even if you're not on the free tier, you may need specific approval to use Bedrock.
-
Check the "Model access" section in the Bedrock console. You need to explicitly request access to each model you want to use, even if you're in a supported region.
-
After requesting access, there may be a waiting period for approval. Some models might have additional eligibility requirements.
-
Ensure you're using the correct model identifiers in your API calls once access is granted.
If you've completed these steps and are still encountering issues, it's recommended to open a support case with AWS. There might be an account-specific problem that needs to be addressed by AWS support.
Remember, Amazon Bedrock is a relatively new service, and access to specific models may be subject to approval processes or limited availability. Always refer to the latest AWS documentation for the most up-to-date information on model availability and access requirements.

(1) Verify your account has been approved for Amazon Bedrock usage. Even if you're not on the free tier, you may need specific approval to use Bedrock. How can I do that? For (2), (3), and (4) - I can't select any model. All are in the Unavailable status and couldn't be selected. (5) - double checked. Guided by "Grant IAM permissions to request access to Amazon Bedrock foundation models".

Hi, the document stands "Select the models that you want the account to have access to and unselect the models that you don't want the account to have access to." How I can select models if all of them are unavailable? About contact to support. I don't know why I should pay $29 for Developer account to get support from https://console.aws.amazon.com/support for this issue. This is the Technical question which requires upper than Basic support plan.
The "Unavailable" status is not a technical issue but an AWS account issue, so you can contact AWS Support with their free plan. In the past, I had a model in "Unavailable" status in my AWS account, but I was able to resolve it by opening a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing."
Thank you for the advice. Will ask support about my account.
Definitely, this is the account issue. Asked a friend, and Bedrock models were available under his root account. For me, all of them are unavailable in Ohaio and other regions. Contacted support.
