EC2 Server has fail

0

Dear everyone, I need some kind of suggestion.

On January 18, 2024, I discovered that my EC2 server had failed. I just couldn't connect. I tried logging in using my email. the system reported that there is no account for this email. I created a new account using the same email address, and after confirming that I had used the same email address twice, the web service team helped me get back to my primary account. When I logged into my main account, I saw that my EC2 server was gone. I contacted the web service team again, now they tell me that my server has been closed by the root user and there is no way to get my EC2 server and files on it. I strongly recommend that you do not save important files on EC2 web servers. As far as I understand, there is no longer any trust in this system. Please, if anyone knows how to return my very, very important files, please suggest it to me.

Hi Sarvar,

First, sorry for the loss. I understand your point of view well.

If files where stored in the EC2 local file system there is no way to recover those files. This is explained in the aws ec2 documentation here.

Next time, it is important to plan and implement a backup strategy considering every aspect.

Kind regards
