Instance Stuck During Force Stop

EC2 instance ID: i-0683386986f12766a (AWS Sydney)

My instance has failed connections, and fails status check. I've tried a reboot, a stop and now a forced stop and it is stuck in Stopping state.

Also console access and screenshots fail with a system error.

How can this be fixed?

After waiting for about 2 hours it finally stopped and I was able to restart it.

Instances might appear "stuck" in the stopping state when there is a problem with the underlying hardware hosting the instance. This can also occur when hibernating a hibernation-enabled instance.
