can AWS Rekognition compare pet images?

I want to develop a system that can compare pet images for matching lost pet and found pet. What services can I use for the matching parts. It says that it can only detect/compare human faces.

Hello,

Currently, animal face recognition is not available in AWS Recognition. Using Labels you can create some more "custom" ML models with Recognition.

In this video, it is described how to make an ML model to detect different dog types using labels.
